About David A Kipper, Ph. D.

David A. Kipper is a licensed clinical psychologist (Illinois No. 071-002414). He is a Board-certified Diplomate in Group Psychology (American Board of Professional Psychologists) and a Fellow of the American Psychological Association, the American Group Psychotherapy Association, and the American Society for Group Psychotherapy and Psychodrama.

He received his Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Durham, England, and completed a postdoctoral Fellowship at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, Long Island, N.Y. Dr. Kipper taught at Bar-Ilan University (Israel), the University of Chicago, and currently he is a Research Professor of Psychology at Roosevelt University, Chicago, Illinois. He is the past-president of the American Society of Group Psychotherapy and Psychodrama, past-president of Division 49 of the American Psychological Association (Division of Group Psychology and Group Psychotherapy). He has served on numerous professional Boards and committees and was the head of the clinical program at the psychology department of Bar-Ilan University, Israel. Board Certified as Trainer (TEP) in psychodrama specializing in behavior simulations, Dr. Kipper has over 30 years of experience.

Dr. Kipper also has extensive experience in management development consulting training. He was affiliated with the University of Chicago for 18 years, working first at the Industrial Relations Center, then the Human Relations Center and then the Division of Professional and Management Development of the Center for Continuing Studies where he also chaired the Individual Executive Training Laboratory.

He is personally involved in a family business — serving on the Board of Directors of his wife's 110-year old family business. Dr. Kipper was also the president of the Joffrey Ballet, and the chairman of the Noble Fool Theater in Chicago. He served on a number of Civic Boards including past-president of the American Jewish Congress (National) and currently as trustee of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Life Board member of the Joffrey Ballet, and holds positions on the boards of the Anti-Defamation League (National) and Medical Development for Israel.
